Editorial Policy
This page exists so you can check our work rather than take it on faith. Google's own guidance asks whether content shows "clear sourcing, evidence of the expertise involved, background about the author or the site." This is our answer.
The team behind this site
Everything here is published by the Modern Chastity Editorial Team.
We use a team byline rather than invented individual author profiles. A named "expert" we could not hold accountable would be worse than no name at all, and in this category fabricated credentials are common enough that we would rather be plainly anonymous than falsely authoritative.
What we are not: we hold no medical credentials and we do not employ clinicians. When a question needs one, we say so instead of answering it.
Where our numbers come from
Every figure we publish is recorded before it is written, with:
- the query that produces it, stored in the repository
- the sample size and what the denominator actually counts
- the snapshot date
- the limitations — what the number does not cover
If a figure cannot be reproduced from its stored query, it does not get published. We enforce this with an automated check, not with good intentions.
A worked example, and it is one we failed. On 2026-08-12 we withdrew every disclosure percentage on this site. They all divided by "how many chastity devices we captured," and we could not defend that denominator: three reasonable definitions gave 629, 448 and 273 records. Our automated classification put a coffee table, a lace teddy and a key safe in the device set, and excluded real cages whose titles contained "case" or "cuff."
We had written this section using denominator discipline as an illustration of care. The denominator is what failed. We are leaving the example in place, changed to describe what actually happened, because a policy page that only lists successes is not evidence of anything.
What we kept is the one product-level figure that does not need a denominator: no product we captured publishes both a ring diameter and a cage length as labelled fields. That count is zero under all three definitions, and a count of zero cannot be moved by choosing a different denominator.

How we handle evidence we do not have
This is the part most guides skip.
Where the evidence is missing, the page says it is missing. We do not fill the gap with confident-sounding prose, and we do not present adjacent evidence as if it answered the question.
Concretely: the published medical literature on chastity devices is concentrated in emergency case reports of entrapment and strangulation injuries. Those describe harm that has already happened. They are not evidence that ordinary long-term wear is safe, and we will not present them as if they were.
What we refuse to do
- No invented people. No fabricated authors, photos, credentials, or biographies.
- No invented testing. We have not worn or lab-tested these products, and we do not claim to have.
- No product recommendations we cannot support. No listing in our audit published both key measurements as clearly labelled fields, so we do not tell you which model to buy.
- No selling. We do not sell these products and we currently have no affiliate relationships. If that changes, affected pages will disclose it at the point of the link, not only in a policy page.
- No community quotes. Where we describe what people discuss in forums, we report aggregate patterns only. We do not publish usernames or quote posts verbatim.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to fix it and say that we fixed it.
Corrections to published pages are noted on the page itself with the date. We do not quietly edit and move on, because a page that changes silently cannot be checked.
Contact, honestly stated. The domain is registered and this site is live, but the mailbox behind it is not set up yet, so no address here can receive mail. Publishing one would be a contact route that silently fails. A working address will appear here once mail is running, and this note will be replaced rather than deleted.
Review and updates
Pages carry a "last reviewed" date. A review means someone checked that the figures still reproduce and the sources still say what we said they said — not that the page was reformatted.
